Three Great Reasons to Use EarthBound®
EarthBound® Saves Money
• Low purchase cost; volume discounts offered.
• Low application rates mean low shipping and warehousing costs.
• Superior soil erosion control means less maintenance requirements for sediment control structures.
• Seed and mulch stay in place. No need for costly reseeding.
EarthBound® Provides Superior Performance
• Protects soil colloids, reducing soil erosion by 57% to 85%.
• Extends and improves the way hydromulch covers the soil.
• Lasts four to twelve months in soil.
• Prevents soil crusting and improves water infiltration and retention for better seed germination and growth.
EarthBound® is Easy to Use and Environmentally Safe
• Use 5 to 20 pounds per acre of material instead of 100 to 300 pounds of plantago and guar.
• No special mixing requirements.
• Convenient packaging to reduce waste.
SOIL STABILIZER
- EarthBound® aids in erosion control
- EarthBound® Promotes Grass Growth
- Superior Technology at Down-to-Earth Prices
- EarthBound® helps with erosion prevention
Stable soil saves contractors money by reducing maintenance costs of sediment control (silt fences and detention basins), keeping seed and mulch in place, and speeding seed and sod establishment.
Even on very steep slopes, EarthBound® successfully replaces costly erosion control blankets. Applied with seed or mulch, or applied alone for temporary soil stabilization, this technology will save time and money. Unlike other products on the market, EarthBound® can be applied in any kind of weather and it is active and effective immediately.
Available in plastic containers (5 to 35 lb.) or bags, EarthBound® is easy to handle, quick to apply, extremely versatile and cost effective.
MULCH TACKIFIER
- EarthBound® is specifically formulated to stabilize soil structure and to hold mulch in place. Field tests at the Texas Transportation Institute proved that EarthBound® supports excellent vegetative growth and reduces soil erosion by 85% on 2:1 slopes.
- EarthBound® gives contractors the added benefit of improved seed germination & growth.
- EarthBound® is a Superior Tackifier The long molecules that make up EarthBound® provide unparalleled strength in binding paper and wood fiber mulches to the soil. EarthBound® lasts longer than other plant-based tackifiers. No need to reapply tackifier and mulch after a few rains.
- EarthBound® will last four to twelve months on the ground. EarthBound's® advanced technology allows you to carry and handle as little as 5 pounds per acre of tackifier. For all these benefits you may expect to pay more, but EarthBound® is LESS EXPENSIVE than plantago and guar-based tackifiers.
- EarthBound® gives contractors the added benefit of improved germination rates, increased water infiltration and water retention, as well as decreased soil crusting.
- EarthBound® has been proven to substantially reduce costs in complying with local and state erosion control regulations.
EarthBound® L - works similarly to EarthBound® & is applied via hydroseeder or water truck.

Primary Applications:
- Sediment removal from storm water
- Road & highway construction runoff ditches
- Enhancing effectiveness of settling ponds
Features & Benefits:
- Reduces cleanup costs
- Reduces environmental risks & compliance
- Removes suspended sediment from water
- Reduces pesticide & fertilizer loss during rain events from runoff
- Increases soil permeability & water penetration to shallow plants in ditches
- Prevents colloidal solutions in water within ditch systems
Directions for Use: Mixing of water & EarthBound® Tablets is crucial. EarthBound® Tablets should be placed at the upper end of a ditch system or as close as possible to active earth moving activities. Set a stake into the center of the ditch system as far up slope as possible & attach the Tablets to the stake in the center of the ditch. EarthBound® Tablets can easily be moved to different locations as site conditions change. Construction of mixing weirs may be required in areas with: short ditch lines, swelling clays, heavy particle concentrations, or steep slopes
EarthBound® Gel Log™ contains blends of polyacrylamide for water clarification & erosion control. It reduces & prevents erosion of colloidal particles from water.
