 The Water Reservoir for Roots

A moist root zone is critical to any plant Water Reserve™ stores over 100 times its weight in tap water, releasing a steady supply of water as your plants need it.
Water Reserve™ is a synthetic acrylic copolymer. The polymer is a non-toxic and safe to use in all landscape applications, Water Reserve™ will continue to work for extended periods of time.
Water Reserve™ has been developed to reduce the amount of water needed to maintain healthy, attractive plants. When mixed in the soil, the crystals will soften and swell as water is added and absorbed. When the soil system dries, Water Reserve™ will release its water to the plant. Water Reserve™ acts as a water reservoir; even during periods of drought the stored water is released to the plant. The expansion and retraction of the polymer during the watering cycle helps soil aeration, which is important to all plants.

Container Information
Water Reserve™ is a polymer designed to reduce plant waterings. It absorbs water similar to a sponge. When the soil dries, the stored water is released to the soil over an extended period of time. It's safe to use on all plants. Water Reserve™ will reduce plant waterings by up to 50% and last several seasons.
CONTAINS NON PLANT FOOD INGREDIENTS (90% Crosslinked polyacrylamide and 10% inert ingredients).

DIRECTIONS FOR TURF/SOD Use Water Reserve™ at a rate of 6 pounds per 1000 sq. ft. or 300 pounds per acre if the polymer is worked into the soil at a depth of 5 to 6". Use 4 to 5 pounds per 1000 sq. ft. or 175 to 225 pounds per acre if the polymer is worked into the soil at a depth of 3 to 4". Broadcast the polymer with a spreader or drop seeder for even distribution. Work into the soil. Spread seed or lay sod. Roll and water abundantly.
DIRECTIONS FOR POTTING 1. Using Table 1, premix the appropriate amount of Water Reserve™ with the potting soil. 2. Sprinkle evenly throughout the root zone. Do not place in top 2" of soil. 3. After planting, water abundantly to allow the polymer to absorb the maximum amount of water. Note: It is good to prehydrate recommended amount of water reserve in a bucket before using. This keeps the polmer from swelling and pushing plants out of the pots.
DIRECTIONS FOR TRANSPLANTING Use 1.5 to 2 oz. of Water Reserve™ per 1" of rootball. Mix half the amount around the planting hole and mix the balance with the backfill. Do not mix Water Reserve™ with the top 2" of backfill. Water abundantly. The rate should be increased to 2 to 3 oz. per 1" of rootball in sandy soil. Use 1/2 oz. (2tsp.) per 4" of rootball, 1 oz. (4tsp.) per 8" of rootball and 1 1/4 oz. (5 tsp.) per 10" of rootball.
